This week you will practice how to add hyperlinks



  1. Coverpage with main menu with links to each page


  2. In slide 2 apply a hyperlink to the image to go to slide 5


  3. In slide 3 apply a hyperlink to the image to go to any web site


  4. In slide 4 apply a hyperlink in the image to go to a web site


  5. In slide 5 apply a hyperlink in the image to go to slide 2


  6. In slide 6 add the References of web sites visited, as you practice in the table of content practice


  7. Each slide also should have an option to return to the coverpage

Create a 6 slides powerpoint presentation with the Ecology topic, each slide should have a title, image with borders with animation, add 6 lines of information in size 22, in each image apply a link. (to a slide or to a web page). The coverpage should have a title an your name and grade and main menu with links to each slide.

Save it as LINKS. Good luck!
April 11, 2011 Students will create a 4 pages project and add the page number starting in page 3. Use the tool Insert > page number > current position (will appear a 3, change it to 1 with the following instruction.) Insert > page number > starting at page 1 With this tool your page number will start in page 3 but with page number 1. Check the video in previous post and follow the steps to create a document like the one showed . Steps:

  1. Insert a coverpage use Insert > coverpage> Conservative

  2. In home select the tool show and hide (like a black q)

  3. Position the cursor at the end of your table of content (after the page break) and in there Go to Page Layout > Breaks > Section breaks > Next page

  4. In page 4 in the top go to Insert > Header > option Blank (first option)

  5. Click in the option > Link to previous ( to desactivate the option )

  6. Select the option > Page # > Current position ( page number 4 will be displayed in header)

  7. Select again > Page # > Format page # > Start at page: 1

  8. Repeat step 5 and 6 in after page 1 to insert page number 2

  9. Update your Table of contents (TOC) with the instruction > References > Update table > entire table

  10. Repeat the same steps for the 5 last projects finished past week (5 word documents with table of content)

Students will search for the following topic in internet "Smoking - health risks" and create a table of contents (TOC) in Ms-word 2007, copy all the information found of this topic in a new document in Ms-word, do the references at the end following the example below.

Don't forget to add the page number in all your documents in the bottom right corner,

follow the instructions Insert > page number > plain number3


Now that you learned how to do a Table of contents (TOC) create 4 more word documents with the following topics Alcoholism risks, Chernobyl disaster, Anorexia health risks, How it affects Insecurity in Monterrey with at least 3 pages of length and references of each web page used, don{t forget to include the References title in your table of content.

Save them as Table of content1, table of content2, table of content3, table of content4, table of content5 in your folder of Period 3 add your name and grade also in to the folder's name.
